Beyoncé put on a chilling performance at the Grammy Awards on Sunday—both visuallyand vocally—but a lot of preparation took place backstage before the singer stepped out looking like this:

The pop star shared new photos on her website revealing what her experience was like on Grammy night, from backstage moments before her set, to partying after the ceremony with her closest loved ones. Take a look at a few standout shots below.

After the ceremony, the singer skipped the big-time parties and attended a low-key (but nonetheless classy) celebration hosted by her sister Solange. It was an intimate family fete whose tight guest list included the Knowles sisters, Kelly Rowland and their husbands. Of course, Kelly and Solange dressed in striking bright red dresses, while Beyoncé looked radiant in all white.

Beyoncé went home without the Album or Record of the Year awards, but that didn’t stop her from partying hard and celebrating the two Grammys she received that evening. Jay Z will drink to that.
