Maxi dresses and yoga pants? Nah. Beyoncé is proving that moms-to-be don’t have to comply with the traditional scope of maternity wear―bodycon dresses and thigh-high boots will also do.
The pop star, who is expecting twins, proudly showed off her baby bump in a figure-fitting velvet dress, leather jacket and over-the-knee suede boots for her stepfather Richard Lawson’s 70th birthday. Bey shared photos from last week’s celebration on her website.

She accessorized with a black, bedazzled Gucci bag, a beehive, silver statement earrings and an emerald green ring, which she flaunted with all the right poses.

She also indulged us with an inside look at the event itself. Her mother, Tina Lawson, and childhood friend/Destiny’s Child bandmate Kelly Rowland were also in attendance.
