In case you needed further proof that President Barack Obama knows how to go on vacation, brace yourself.
After being seen wearing his hat backwards (a true indicator of coolness) during his British Virgin Islands getaway with Michelle, the former POTUS ditched his mom jeans for board shorts and hit the waves with Virgin’s Richard Branson on Necker Island.

While Obama learned how to kitesurf, Branson learned how to foilboard surf. After practicing (and a few wipeouts) they challenged each other to see which one of them could go farther on his new board. (You can probably already guess who won.)

The former president told Branson that the last time he surfed was in Hawaii, long before he was in the White House. “For the next eight years he didn’t have the chance to surf, enjoy watersports or do many of the things he loved,” the Virgin founder recalled. Two terms later, Barack’s clearly still got it.
