The Nigerian Anambra State governor, Chief Willie Obiano denied that he chartered an aircraft to fly his allies, friends and supporters to the United States for the graduation party of his daughter.
There had been rumours on social media that the governor planned to shut down the state by moving his friends and supporters to the US, where his daughter was to graduate from university of Texas.

Senior Special Assistant to the governor on new media, Mr Ifeanyi Aniagor, in a press statement denied the rumour.

“While I state categorically that Governor Obiano did not sponsor anyone not to talk of 179 persons as peddled by these people, I am concerned about the future of these young people who are now turned into internet attack dogs.”
