Allingastate is just outside the historic mound village Allingawier and was formerly a piece of land allegedly from the 14th century called “Feddamastins”, where a nobleman lived. A farm must have been built on these foundations in 1873, with a workers’ house next to it . The built-in gable stone to the right of the castle door provides this proof. From 1973 onwards, the castle with guest house, the carriage house, gatehouse and the tea house at the back of the orchard have been realized in phases. In 2003 the estate was sold to the foundation of the museum village Allingawier. The foundation opened the estate to the public and used it as location for marriage. The castle was furnished as a museum with light catering facility (coffee and tea). In addition, the foundation rented out the existing guest house and castle as a B&B.

When the estate was for sale in 2016, the current owners were instantly in love with the estate, despite the very poor condition it was in. A complete renovation was the result with great love and dedication, eye for detail to restore the estate to its former glory. This included new foundation with piles through the peat soil and isolated floor, dormers, chimneys and a major expansion of the living room, kitchen and bedrooms/bathroom. In addition, the carriage house has been completely renovated with a B&B (left wing) and tearoom (right wing). The chalet, as a second B&B, was also modernized. Private parking places has been created as well a double garage with attic has been realized. All was done with love and care.
